Procurex Ireland 2017 – a quick summary
On April 25th TRANSLIT exhibited at Procurex Ireland 2017 at the RDS Exhibition Centre, Dublin. We were delighted to attend as this event would give us a chance to showcase our company’s services directly to Ireland’s buying community. The event will also help us understand the future of procurement in Ireland and across the EU. Attending Procurex will put TRANSLIT ahead of the competition. It will also give us access to one-to-one advice about procurement opportunities from expert consultants.
What happened at the event
The event started off a little after 10 o’clock with a few presentations. The first was a Welcome from the Meeting Chair, Brian Dobson from Raidió Teilifís Éireann (RTÉ). After this there were several, informative Keynote Addresses from speakers including Paul Quinn, Chief Procurement Officer from the Office of Government Procurement, Sam Waide, Executive Director of Operations from Business Services Organisation (BSO) and Sue Moffatt, Director of the National Procurement Service at Welsh Government. Once the talks had concluded, we were able to walk through the Collaboration Zones. These zones featured representatives from leading procurement organisations such as The Office of Government Procurement and The Central Procurement Directorate. Procurement Advice Hub provided attendees with the opportunity to gain expert advice in the field of procurement.
Thank you for having us
To conclude, with hundreds of delegates in attendance, we had a fantastic day at Procurex Ireland 2017. We were able to take advantage of the 20 plus training sessions on offer in the various training zones; in addition to the sessions in the Keynote Arena from high profile figures within Ireland’s public procurement community. We would like to thank both Procurex Ireland 2017 for having us and everyone who came to our stall. We hope to see you all again soon.
